Thank you Sarah!

Thank goodness for Sarah... If it wasn't for her diligence, we wouldn't even have Thanksgiving! Many people enjoy this holiday every year for many reasons; delicious food, friends and family and football of course :) As we learned in our story this week, Sarah Morton fought hard to save this holiday. She convinced Lincoln to make Thanksgiving a national holiday.



If there was another holiday that was going to be taken away which holiday would you fight to save?! why?

    Halloween it is a very fun holiday and we get to eat alot of candy I would definitly fight for Halloween.evan

    I'd fight for New Years because on New Years Eve you stay up until midnight. It's a national holiday to celebrate the new year.

    If I were to save a holiday it would be Chirstmas. It would be Christmas because santa comes and is nice and leaves presents for the nice children.

    If I had to fight for a holiday that was going away it would be ''THE FOURTH OF JULY!'' beacuse it is a celeration for wining the war so we could be a free contry!!! by julia herrera
